Nasci e morei em Caruaru até os 7 anos e cresci em Recife. Após a escola de manhã, passava o resto do dia montando Lego e desenhando, sempre com algum rock de fundo, quase sempre dos CDs do meu irmão, que é nove anos mais velho, ou assistindo à TV Cultura, e dizia que queria ser cientista após ver “O Mundo de Beakman”.I was born in Caruaru, lived there until I was 7 and grew up in Recife. After school in the morning, I spent the rest of the day building Lego and drawing, always with some rock in the background, usually from the CDs of my brother, who is nine years older, or watching TV Cultura, and I used to say I wanted to be a scientist after watching “Beakman’s World”.
Me formei em design de interiores, abri um estúdio de identidade visual em 2010, comecei a migrar para UX em 2019 e desde 2022 trabalho com produto digital.I graduated in interior design, opened a visual identity studio in 2010, started moving into UX in 2019 and have worked in digital product since 2022.
Olhando hoje, vejo as conexões: a programação educativa, os desenhos e o Lego viraram processos, metodologias e interfaces, e a música ainda é música, e me acompanha sendo a trilha sonora da vida.Looking back today, I can see the connections: the educational TV, the drawings and the Lego turned into processes, methods and interfaces, and music is still music, and it stays with me as the soundtrack of my life.
Toco baixo desde os 16 e, desde então, não passei um ano sem subir num palco. Fundei a Dose de Romeu, banda com quem toquei na Alemanha em 2018 e que ganhou o Prêmio da Música de Pernambuco em 2025. Agora estou começando o Oil Can No. 9, um projeto novo.I’ve played bass since I was 16 and haven’t gone a year without getting on a stage. I founded Dose de Romeu, the band I toured Germany with in 2018 and that won Pernambuco’s Music Award in 2025. Now I’m starting Oil Can No. 9, a new project.
Fora da música, gosto de coisa feita com as mãos e com calma: café passado todo dia, churrasco com os amigos, comida japonesa e boteco. Também jogo RPG de mesa, treino boxe e kettlebell e não dispenso um bom filme.Outside music, I like things made by hand and without hurry: pour-over coffee every day, barbecue with friends, Japanese food and neighborhood bars. I also play tabletop RPG, train boxing and kettlebell, and never say no to a good film.
Gosto de começar do macro para o micro, entendendo o ciclo de vida da coisa em que vamos trabalhar e o recorte de atuação, ou iniciando pela decisão que alguém precisa tomar e voltando dali para o que a gente precisa saber. E separo bem o que eu sei do que estou supondo, porque é aí que muito projeto se perde.I like to go from the big picture to the details, understanding the life cycle of whatever we’re working on and the scope we’ll act on, or starting from the decision someone needs to make and working back to what we need to know. And I keep what I know clearly apart from what I’m assuming, because that’s where a lot of projects get lost.
Sou naturalmente generalista. Pesquisa, estratégia, interface e código no mesmo problema me deixam ir mais fundo, e a IA acelerou muito isso. No fim, o que eu entrego é isto: reduzir o custo de estar errado. Juntei esse jeito de trabalhar no Glass.I’m a generalist by nature. Research, strategy, interface and code on the same problem let me go deeper, and AI has sped that up a lot. In the end, this is what I deliver: lowering the cost of being wrong. I put this way of working together in Glass.
Sou tímido até conhecer as pessoas, depois solto umas piadas ruins, mas não me sinto confortável sendo o centro das atenções. Gosto tanto de interações quanto de ficar sozinho, imerso nos meus experimentos, estudos e reflexões, e alterno entre esses polos.I’m shy until I get to know people, then I start telling bad jokes, but I’m not comfortable being the center of attention. I enjoy being around people as much as being alone, deep in my experiments, studies and thoughts, and I move back and forth between the two.
Prefiro fazer menos coisas e mais bem feitas, e prefiro dizer “não sei” a inventar uma resposta. Quando o projeto dá tempo e orçamento, vou no detalhe até a vírgula. Quando aperta, escolho onde o acabamento faz diferença.I’d rather do fewer things and do them well, and I’d rather say “I don’t know” than make up an answer. When a project gives me time and budget, I go down to the last comma. When it’s tight, I choose where the finish makes a difference.
